ABOUT US

Webb Farmers Supply Company Ross Street Heflin, Alabama 1977

In 1946, Garth Webb formed Farmers Supply Company in Heflin, Alabama. The company started with seed, fertilizer, and hardware as the prime business, then ventured into ready mix concrete, building materials, sand, and gravel. Dedication to the customer’s needs has been our guiding principle from the start. Current owner, Phil Webb, bought the company from his father, Bobby, in 1980. Since then, Webb has grown to offer more than just concrete and building materials adding the flooring division in 2006. We have expanded to serve our customers with all materials necessary to complete a project– from the foundation up.

We proudly serve seven locations in East Central Alabama– Heflin, Oxford, Pell City, Centre, Roanoke, Birmingham, and Homewood. We also serve their surrounding areas including Gadsden and parts of West Georgia. Our showrooms give customers the opportunity to experience our products firsthand.

Although most people know us from our ready mix business, there is much more to Webb than just concrete. We also have building materials, paint, hardware, flooring, home finishing products, and much more. This is why we are your complete source for building!

OUR MISSION:
At Webb Concrete & Building Materials, we pledge to become a valued business partner by providing the best quality products at a competitive price, delivered in a timely manner by an experienced, attentive and service-minded team.

ABOUT THE OWNER

Phil Webb is a Heflin, Alabama native and small business owner. He has a passion for community development and thriving economy.

With success comes hard work and Phil is no stranger to either. Immediately following high school graduation in 1976, Phil started work at what was then “Farmer’s Supply Company”, the family business his grandfather founded in 1946. Phil purchased the business from his father in 1982 and has grown it into the top-notch company it is today, with ready mix concrete plants in Oxford, Pell City, Heflin, and Roanoke and building materials locations in Heflin, Oxford, Pell City, Centre, and Birmingham. Webb maintains hardware stores in Heflin, Pell City, and Centre. Always expanding Webb’s offerings to better serve our customers, Webb Flooring was opened in 2007 and offers an extensive choice of all flooring products at our elegant showroom in Pell City. In January 2024 Webb Building Essentials was opened in Homewood so that we might offer the Birmingham community a place to build their next projects and the showroom includes windows, doors, flooring, siding, decking, wallpaper and more.

Although he is well known for philanthropy, the quality most often attributed to Phil is that of having a servant’s heart, both in his community and within his company. He is involved in the day-to-day operations of his company and develops personal relationships with employees. The ability to serve is the basis for every venture Phil undertakes. Service is the most important element of his business philosophy and he expects his staff to adopt that same philosophy.

To that end, Phil serves on the board of directors for many organizations, to include Alabama Power, Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders, also, serving as its Governmental Affairs Advocacy Vice-Chair, Calhoun County Home Builders Association, The University of Alabama President’s Cabinet, The Rising Tide Capital Campaign Cabinet of the University of Alabama, JSU Foundation, Calhoun County Economic Development Council, and NobleBank & Trust.
